The $1740 wedding photo package is perfect for smaller, more intimate weddings

It covers:

Pre wedding day planning (location scout for formal bride and groom photos etc.)

Coverage of the ceremony, group photos and bride and groom's formal shoot)

DVDs containing 200 full resolution edited copies of your wedding photos

Note:

A $650 non refundable deposit is required at point of booking to secure your date. Should you cancel and I am able to fill your place for that date, I will refund your deposit.

Each photo is individually retouched and edited regardless of the package you chose. The ‘copy right’ released to you means the photos are yours to keep forever. This permits you to reproduce them to your hearts content for personal use but not for commercial use.

In order to keep costs down for my clients, wedding photography packages do not currently include albums, prints, or travel outside of Christchurch. If you would like these products and services as ‘extras,’ they are available for an additional cost.

FAQ's

How long have you been a wedding photographer?

I photographed my first wedding back in 2002 when I was a student and have since photographed and assisted with many weddings here in New Zealand, England and Canada.

While my primary interest in photography was documentary and travel, I have always enjoyed working with people. Today I am aiming to combine my documentary style photography with more personal interaction.
On a personal level, I find wedding photography to be so rewarding and I feel so fortunate to be a part of such a beautiful, joyous and important day is peoples’ lives.

What sort of camera do you use?

I use 2x full frame Canon slr cameras and a range of lenses. This ensures that I can get a range of shots and also protects against camera and lens failure as a back-up is always on hand.

How do we book you?

A booking can be requested by email (elizabeth@libbylane.co), phone (021443309) or via my online contact form. Wedding photography bookings become official once a deposit of 1/3 of the total amount is received. The remaining balance can be paid any time before the wedding. The deposit is also a retainer fee and is non-refundable should you cancel. The reason for this is that in the meantime I may have turned down other work in order to secure your wedding date.

Where are you based?

I am based just south of Christchurch.

Do you provide wedding photography outside of Christchurch?

Absolutely! A fee to cover travel expenses such as accommodation, flights, car rental if need be, (etc..) would be charged accordingly.

Does your wedding photography price really cover everything mentioned above?

Yes. The full day wedding photography package ($2980) includes coverage of the bride getting ready and arriving at the venue, the ceremony, formal group photos with family and friends, bride and groom photos, formal photos with the bridal party, and everything the reception entails; speeches, cutting of the cake, first dance etc.. I usually stay at the reception until I have captured enough evening/guest/dancing photos but I will check with you before I leave.

Why are your wedding packages cheaper than others I have seen?

I always aim to keep my prices fair and affordable whilst still offering professional results.

Can I see some examples of your wedding photography work?

Yes. If you check out my website www.libbylane.co and click on the weddings tab you will be able to scroll through my gallery to view previous weddings I have photographed as well as a few of my other projects.

Can we make changes to the Terms and Conditions?

Changes can be made to the Terms and Conditions if required. However any changes must be made prior to making a deposit and these changes must be recorded in a modified contract that must be signed by the photographer (Elizabeth Lane) and (you) the client.

Are reduced wedding photography rates available for reduced coverage?

Not at this stage. My $1500 package aims to accommodate couples who are on a low budget. I wouldn’t like to offer anything less than what is necessary to capture your most crucial and special moments.

How long will it be before my wedding photos are ready?

I aim to have wedding photos completed within 4 weeks. During busy periods and/or over Christmas/New Year this can stretch out to 6 weeks. An express service is available for an additional cost.

What if I lose or damage my photo dvd?

I store back-ups of your wedding images for at least 1 year. A one off fee of $50.00 will apply if the dvd needs to be reissued. All Wedding Photography jobs are subject to the ‘Libby Lane Photography’ Terms and Conditions.

Why don’t your packages include albums or prints?

Albums: I believe that the design and creation of a wedding album is personal to each individual couple. Taking the time to identify your favourite images allows you to decide how you want your story told and will perhaps more accurately reflect your memory of your wedding day rather than mine. However, at you request, I would be more than happy to design an album on your behalf.

Prints- I have and still can organise the printing on behalf of clients for the extra costs of printing. In my past experience I found that generally my customers preferred to print their pictures in their own time and so I introduced the photo dvd which eventually phased out the printing all together. Owning the high resolution images on a disk gives you the flexibility and control to decide which sizes/quantity/photo finish you would prefer and you can print and reprint them at your own leisure without needing to come back and reorder through me.

Where can I get my photos printed?

There are a number of suitable options available. While printing at a pro lab will give the most accurate results many people prefer to save money by using standard online printing services. Among these, Snapfish have had good reviews against its competitors. Photo Warehouse produces professional quality images and have a store in Christchurch. I would always recommend printing photos with a matte/lustre finish. Unless you are framing your photos, white borders are a nice option for photos intended for albums. I believe they offer a unique and professional effect.
